Biography

Since Riverclan had been flooding, Waspmeadow had gone to find safer grounds. She slipped out of camp and attemped to amble across the riverbank onto the stepping stones. She slipped. Paws flinging around, claws unsheathed, in hope of finding a bit of rock to latch onto, but every surface proved too slippery, and before she knew it, She had slipped into the river. The fast-pace body of water was raging due to the constant rain, creating a sort of riptide. She fought against the current as hard as she could, but her head kept bobbing underwater, and her legs began to tire from thrashing about for so long. Her paws were starting to feel weak, and her eyes felt heavy. All motion shifted into a foggy blur, before fading away completely as her head dipped under water...."GAH" she gasped and coughed up water, panting heavily. She squinted, opening her eyes to her surroundings. Everything was too bright and loud, and her head was spinning so fast she couldn't concentrate on any one thing. She took a moment to calm down before properly preparing to get up. Her legs felt weak and sore, and her body was adorned with various scratches. She dragged her heavy, sodden body off of the riverbank and shook the water off of her fur as best she could. She licked her front paw and  dragged it over her ear, trying her best to get clean, and then properly gave her situation some thought. As she finally analysed her surroundings, she realised that this was all unfamiliar and new. The curious side of her was amazed and intrigued, but she trembled in shock at the sheer thought of being out in the woods alone at night. The sun already started to dip behind the treeline, and soon the only source of light was the last rays of sunlight battling through the foliage. After a while of processing what had just happened, Waspmeadow finally decided to take action. She dipped into the undergrowth, trying to seek out any prey. She peered around, tilting her ears towards any slight sound of rustling in the bushes; Although Waspmeadow didn't bother to check for scents.Ever since she was a kit she had been noseblind. None of her clanmates recognised it at first, and even into her apprenticeship, her mentor just blamed it on her lack of motivation and self dicipline. It was only just before she became a warrior, when she went to the medicine den to try and target what was 'wrong' with her. That's when she discovered her lack of smell. In the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a rapid surge of movement. Leaping off of her hindquarters, she dashed after the creature. Just as she thought she had cornered the mouse, it slipped into a narrow hole in between the branches and the dirt. Waspmeadow was about to turn away, when her stomach growled, reminding her of her hunger. Without another thought, she slunk into the entrance. Carrying on down the down tunnel, she discovered a hollowed out chamber."Aha!" She said to herself, as she finally cornered the mouse and took its life with one foul swoop. She picked it up in her jaws and turned on her heel, when something moved in the corner of the chamber. Her fur stood on end, and her skin prickled as she slowly turned. The form stretched, and hopped out from the shadows. It let out a low snarl, its large teeth set into its horrific, contorted face. Its fur was red and fierce, and its tail was bushy. With no other feeling but raw terror, she dropped the mouse and made a dash for the entrance. The fox pounced and made for Waspmeadow, gashing her hindquarters. Slowing her down, the fox took this as an opportunity to pin the cat down. Waspmeadow thrashed about with her hindlegs, quickly feeling the pressure of the fox pushing down on her, it was almost suffocating. The fox attempted to bite at Waspmeadow's face but she managed to twist her neck out of the way just in time to dodge the attack. She thrashed about with her hindlegs again as a last attempt, and she caught the fox's stomach with her claws. The fox yowled in pain, temporarily immobilised, and she made a run for it.She darted out of the entrance of the fox den into the darkness of night. After a long time of running, her adrenaline wore out, and the gash on her hindquarters was hurting too much to bear- she needed shelter, and she needed it quick. Just as she dragged herself into a clearing in the forest, she caught sight of a barn in the near distance. She managed to limb to the barn and crawl behind the door, where she lay on a heaped pile of hay.She could see her wound, and she was bleeding heavily. She shut her eyes tightly as she winced at the pain. She needed to find something to stop the bleeding, but she simply didn't know where to start. She pondered for a while, and decided her best bet would be to follow the river back to her camp- but she was absolutely terrified of the thought. After all, she didn't want to fall back in the river again, and the blood loss was making her light-headed.She struggled to lift herself up off of the pile of hay, but when she did, her fur was haphazardly ruffled in odd places, littered with dried grass. She stumbled over to the entrance hoping that the fox hadn't followed her to the barn. After a moment of preparing herself, she limped over to the river and peered in. Water hit the rocks and splashed up at her, causing her to recoil and shake the droplets of water off of her pelt. It was still dangerous, but she had no other choice. She followed the direction of the current backwards towards, what she hoped, would be into riverclan territory."Hello?" She called out "Anyone there?"
